US NSA arriving today

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan is set to tell visiting US National Security Adviser (NSA) James Jones to find a negotiated settlement to the Afghan issue as part of an honourable exit from the war-torn country. Jones will arrive in the federal capital today (Thursday) on an important visit to receive Pakistan’s input about the review of the US Afghan policy. Sources said the country’s leadership would ask Jones to implement the military strategy with precision and clearly stated objectives. They said Jones would meet with President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani, Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Kayani and other senior civilian and military officials. sajjad malik
