UN inquiry team seeks Musharraf’s statement

LAHORE: The United Nations inquiry commission probing the assassination of former premier Benazir Bhutto’s has requested the government to record the statement of former president Pervez Musharraf, a private TV channel reported on Thursday. According to the channel, the commission’s chairman has written to the government, requesting its help in obtaining Musharraf’s statement. He termed Musharraf’s statement as crucial to the investigation and demanded the government arrange meetings between the commission and the country’s top military officials. daily times monitor
