Emergency declared in allied hospitals

RAWALPINDI: City District Government Rawalpindi (CDGR) on Monday declared emergency in hospitals following the suicide bomb blast at Shalimar Plaza. All three allied hospitals – Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Hospital, Holy Family Hospital and District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital – have been put on high alert. District Coordination Officer (DCO) Imdadullah Bosal directed the Health Department to arrange lifesaving drugs, blood bags, and allocate 30 to 40 beds for emergency patients. A total of 18 dead bodies were shifted to Combined Military Hospital (CMH), 11 to DHQ Hospital and six to Military Hospital (MH). A total of 25 injured persons were shifted to CMH, eight to DHQ Hospital and 28 to MH.
