100 arrested as curfew imposed in Khawazakhela

MINGORA: Security forces on Saturday enforced a curfew in parts of Swat’s Khawazakhela tehsil and arrested 100 suspects during various search operations in the area, sources said. They told Daily Times that the forces imposed a curfew in Gulibagh, Alam Gunj, Shalpin, Chamtalai and other parts of the tehsil. They said that the search operation was started following a tip-off from a Taliban commander, arrested from Takhtbhai area a few days ago. The forces made announcements asking the people to stay at home to avoid any inconvenience during the curfew. The forces also imposed a curfew in Shangla district and closed all roads leading to Khawazakhela. ghulam farooq
