Two Taliban killed in Mohmand

GHALANAI: At least two Taliban were killed when tribesmen retaliated against an attack on the chief of a peace committee, and a peace volunteer was injured in crossfire in Baizai tehsil of Mohmand Agency on Friday. An administration official said Taliban attacked the peace committee chief, Malik Sultan, with heavy weapons in Baizai area. At least two Taliban were killed and four injured in the ensuing clash, which continued for about an hour. Sultan escaped unhurt. In another development, the political administration of Mohmand Agency arrested eight Mehsud tribesmen from Safi tehsil. staff report
