India advises pilgrims against travelling to Pakistan
NEW DELHI: In an advisory issued on Tuesday, the Indian government asked all citizens to avoid visits to Pakistan for pilgrimage to Gurduwaras “in view of the deteriorating security situation there”. The advisory, issued by the Indian Home Ministry, said the government was of the view that “it is not advisable for Indian pilgrims to visit Pakistan in the prevailing situation when frequent terrorist attacks are taking place in Punjab… where all Gurduwaras are situated”. It told Indians not to travel to Pakistan for pilgrimage “until the security situation in Pakistan improves”. iftikhar gilani
