Pakistan, Turkey to exempt businessmen from visas
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Turkey signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Monday to exempt their businessmen from visa requirements. Under the agreement – signed by Interior Minister Rehman Malik and Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmed Davutoglu – businessmen from the either country with valid travel documents would be able to visit and stay in the other country without visa for 90 days. The MoU is aimed at further improving and developing friendly relations between Pakistan and Turkey and promoting trade ties by facilitating businessmen’s visits. “The government of Pakistan and the government of Turkey ... have agreed ... [that] businessmen who are Pakistani nationals and Turkish nationals – with valid travel documents – may enter and exit and temporarily stay in the territory of the other party,” reads the text of the agreement signed between the two countries. app
