Hockey: Army win Benezir Bhutto Gold Cup Tournament

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Army defeated National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) in the final 2-0 to win the First Benazir Bhutto Gold Cup Hockey Tournament at the Naseer Bunda Stadium, Pakistan Sports Complex, here Saturday. Army opened the account when Shahid Rao converted a penalty corner in the 47th minute. In the very next minute, Rizwan Junior fired a spectacular goal, thus giving NBP a two-goal lead that remained intact till the end. The first half remained goalless. In the second half, Army gave a better performance and ended the NBP dream to win the title. Federal sports minister Pir Aftab Shah Jilani was the chief guest at the prize distribution ceremony
