Three people killed in city

KARACHI: At least three people were killed in separate incidents on Saturday in different parts of the city.

As per details, unidentified culprits killed an elderly man over an old enmity at Superhighway. The Sohrab Goth police said that unidentified men gunned down Mohammad Khan, 65, while he was standing at Chaker More on Superhighway, adding that the victim had sustained multiple bullet injuries and was immediately shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, where he succumbed to injuries.

Similarly, the bullet-riddled body of a 35-year-old man was found from the bushes at an abandoned location in Korangi No 3 ½. The Zaman Town police said that the body of Noorul Amin, alias Naveena, was taken to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC). The police claimed that the deceased had a criminal record and was associated with a local drug peddling gang, Shakoor Bengali group. The police suspect that a rival group might have kidnapped and gunned him down before dumping his body.

The police said that the incident took place due to reckless driving, adding that the deceased, Sadiq Toor Khan, 22, and the injured, Sohail, 18, Atif, 20, and Amir, 18, were taken to JPMC. staff report
