BA wants duty-free bullet-proof vehicles for MPs
QUETTA: The Balochistan Assembly on Friday sought permission from the federal government to import duty-free bullet-proof vehicles for the elected representatives of the province following concerns over the law and order situation in the country. During the assembly session, with Deputy Speaker Matiullah Agha in the chair, the House jointly adopted a resolution moved by Balochistan Home and Tribal Affairs Minister Mir Zafrullah Zehri that demanded the provincial government to seek the permission from Islamabad. Supporting his resolution, Zehri said the representatives could not visit their constituencies because of security concerns, with rampant remote-controlled and suicide bombing incidents taking place across the country. Adopting another resolution, the assembly demanded that the provincial government take serious notice of converting the 15-kilometre-long Kuchlak-Yaro section of Quetta to Chaman road into a single track. app
