Turkish premier arriving today

ISLAMABAD: Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan arrives today (Saturday) on a three-day official visit. The Turkish premier will call on President Asif Zardari and Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani. He will also meet the military top brass and address a joint parliamentary session. A source said the visit aimed at strengthening bilateral ties. He said the two sides would also discuss the ongoing war on terror, adding that Erdogan would be briefed on Operation Rah-e-Nijat. The law and order situation in Afghanistan would also be discussed, he said. The Turkish premier will be accompanied by a delegation of Turkish entrepreneurs. staff report
