ANP mulls future role in Sindh govt
KARACHI: The Sindh Awami National party has sought directives from the central leadership regarding their future role in the coalition government in Sindh.
According to a press release issued from Bacha Khan Markaz on Friday, the provincial leadership is not feeling comfortable in the coalition government and feels that the two major-coalition partners have ignored ANP, in the decision-making process.
“We have submitted a written report to the central leadership in which we have explained how ANP has been ignored and the government failed in addressing our reservations,” the press release quoted ANP spokesperson Qadir Khan as saying.
He alleged that the government remained mute and did nothing to make the city district government start development projects in the deprived Pukhtoon-dominant areas of Karachi. “It is very difficult for us to remain in the coalition government any more and ignore the problems faced by the Pukhtoon community,” Khan said. “We will take a decision sooner or later about the future of the coalition government,” he said. staff report
