‘Democracy can put Pakistan on road to development’

VEHARI: Democracy can steer the country out of its present troubles and put it on the path to prosperity and development, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz chief Nawaz Sharif said on Thursday. Nawaz was addressing PML-N workers at the residence of party parliamentarian Tehmina Daultana after expressing condolences over the death of her husband Zahid Anwar Wahla. Nawaz expressed the concern that democracy had been derailed in the country time and again in the past, and termed it the main factor behind the country’s troubles. The PML-N chief underlined the need for discussing all issues of national importance in parliament. app
