NGOs offer to look after IDPs if provided security
ISLAMABAD: International non-governmental organisations (NGOs) working in Pakistan have offered to take care of the internally displaced persons (IDPs) flooding out of Waziristan, provided the government ensure their security. The start of the military operation has forced thousands of people to flee South Waziristan for the neighbouring Tank and DI Khan. Representatives of NGOs, including Muslim Hands and Helping Hands, have approached the Interior Ministry with the offer and Interior Minister Rehman Malik is likely to meet them to chalk out a strategy. tahir niaz
