Compensation for burnt vehicles soon

KARACHI: The Sindh Home department said on Thursday that all formalities regarding the release of compensation by Sindh government’s finance department and accountant general had been completed.

The department explained that preparation of individual cheques regarding each owner of vehicles, legal heir of deceased drivers, and injured driver or conductors would be completed within three days.

Meanwhile, Sindh Transport Minister Akhtar Hussain Jadoon has said that any increase in transport fares would be decided as per decreed principles.

Jadoon said that in a meeting with transporters’ delegation, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah approved payment of Rs 21 million as compensation for burnt vehicles. app
