Attackers could not be followers of Islam

LAHORE: Punjab Governor Salmaan Taseer on Tuesday condemned the suicide bombings at the International Islamic University in Islamabad and expressed concern over the loss of precious lives in the incident. He said the attackers were not followers of Islam and had nothing to do with humanity. Taseer said such inhuman acts would not deter the government’s efforts to eliminate terrorism. staff report

ISLAMABAD: PML-Q dissident group President Salim Saifullah Khan on Tuesday condemned the twin suicide attacks on the International Islamic University Islamabad. ISLAMABAD: Information Minister Qamar Zaman Kaira said the cowardly suicide attacks on the International Islamic University Islamabad would not shake the government’s resolve to exterminate terrorism. “The terrorists will achieve nothing and will fail to undermine the resolve of the government in the war on terror,” he said in a statement. app

LAHORE: The suicide attack on the International Islamic University Islamabad is an act of cowardice, Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) chief Syed Munawwar Hassan said on Tuesday. JI Secretary General Liaqat Baloch and JI former chief Qazi Hussain Ahmad also condemned the suicide attack, terming it “inhuman and cowardly”. KARACHI: While condemning the suicide attacks at the International Islamic University Islamabad, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain said special anti-terror teams must be constituted to keep a close eye on terror suspects at educational institutes and other public places.
