Driver shot dead in car snatching bid

KARACHI: Unidentified men gunned down the driver of a private company’s official near Nisar Shaheed Park within the jurisdiction of Gizri police station.

Police officials said that the incident took place late on Thursday night when the deceased Sarfaraz Khan, 22, son of Zarqim Khan, was waiting in the car for his employer, Muslim Raza’s family, after dropping them at a marriage hall in Defence Phase IV. Unidentified car snatchers came to the spot and tried to snatch the vehicle from him. They shot him twice on resistance and fled away with the car.

Body found: A body of a 60-year-old man was found from a graveyard within the limits of Shah Faisal police station. Police officials shifted the body to the Edhi morgue, Sohrab Goth after legal formalities were completed at the JPMC. Police officials said that the body was at least eight to 10 days old. staff report
