ISLAMABAD: Federal sports minister Pir Aftab Hussain Shah Jilani informed the National Assembly on Wednesday that the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) had been given a special grant of Rs 120 million for promotion of hockey in the country. Replying to a question, the minister said the sports ministry in collaboration with the PHF had planned to bring infrastructural reforms for advancement of the national game. “The hockey stadiums in Sukkar and Hyderabad have been established while work on some other stadiums is in progress. The proposal for establishment of a hockey stadium in Multan will also be brought under consideration,” he added.
