Pakistan elected to IAEA board of governors

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan was elected on Friday to the board of governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on a seat reserved for Middle East and South Asia region.

The election took place at the 53rd regular session of the IAEA General Conference in Vienna. Pakistan's election was recognition of its long-standing commitment to the aims and objectives of the IAEA, a Foreign Office statement said. app
