Patterson visits Swat girls’ school

MINGORA: US Ambassador Anne W Patterson on Wednesday visited the conflict-hit Swat region and met students at a local girls’ school. Patterson visited Saidu Sharif Girls’ School where she talked to schoolchildren. Later, the US ambassador took an aerial view of the Swat valley and was briefed on the ongoing operation against the Taliban by Lt General Nadeem Ahmed, chief of the Special Support Group (SSG).
