Crackdown on Margalla stone crushers soon

ISLAMABAD: Capital Development Authority (CDA) in collaboration with the Punjab government has planned a crackdown on 250 stone crushing units on Margalla hills near Taxila. An official said notices had already been issued to stone crushers to wind up their businesses by August 30. He said a crackdown would be initiated on stone crushers failing to comply with the orders in September. According to the official, 8,000 people are directly linked to the stone crushing business, which has been continuing on Margalla hills near Taxila for a long time. online
