5 Taliban killed in N Waziristan drone attack

By Haji Mujtaba

MIRANSHAH: A US drone on Friday fired a missile at a house in Bahadur Kalley village – 30 kilometres south of Miranshah in North Waziristan – killing five Taliban and wounding four others.

The strike came at around 4pm on Razmak-Miranshah road in Garyam tehsil. The owner of the house has been identified as Abdul Majeed, and all those present inside the building were apparently local Taliban. The injured have been admitted to hospital.

“It is not immediately clear whether there were any foreign Taliban or some important figure among those who were targeted and killed,” the AFP news agency quoted an intelligence official as saying.
