Mullen says US concerned over terrorist safe havens in Pakistan

WASHINGTON: There is a continuing concern in the US over the existence of terrorist safe haven in Pakistan, US Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Michael Mullen said in an interview aired on Sunday. “That [concern] has to be addressed, has been addressed and needs to continue to be addressed,” Mullen told Fox News. He declined to comment on Sunday’s drone strikes on a suspected Taliban compound in South Waziristan.
