TTP welcomes Malakand pact

PESHAWAR: The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has welcomed an agreement between the Tehreek-e-Nifaz-e-Shariat Muhammadi and NWFP government for the enforcement of Nizam-e-Adl in Malakand. Talking to a private TV channel, TTP spokesman Maulvi Omar said the Taliban would try their best for the enforcement of Islamic system in the country and FATA. When asked if the TTP would lay down their arms and renounce violence in the Tribal Areas and Swat, he said they would accept every decision taken by Maulana Sufi Muhammad. Taliban leaders while welcoming the sharia regulation hoped the government would implement it in letter and spirit, APP reported. agencies
