Army repairs destroyed bridge in Khyber

Staff Report

PESHAWAR: Engineers of the Pakistan Army have repaired a bridge destroyed by the Taliban in Khyber Agency and have reopened it for traffic, an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) statement said on Friday.

The ISPR said the bridge, en-route the Pak-Afghan Highway through the Khyber Pass, was repaired within 72 hours and could be used for all kinds of vehicles.

The original bridge, built in 1923, was destroyed by the Taliban on February 2.
