Govt to blame if 58 (2b) used: Elahi

ISLAMABAD: The government will be responsible if President Pervez Musharraf uses article 58 (2b) to dissolve the assembly, Leader of Opposition in National Assembly Chaudary Pervaiz Elahi said on Wednesday. Elahi said, “The government will not impeach the president but the people of Pakistan will definitely impeach the government for its failures,” he told a press conference in Islamabad after meeting President Musharraf. Elahi added that the present rulers were a product of the NRO and lacked the ability to rule. staff report
