Sri Lanka commander arrives in city

LAHORE: Sri Lankan Army Commander Lt General Fonseka along with an eight-member delegation, visited the city on Wednesday on the second leg of his official visit to Pakistan.

The commander visited the Corps Headquarter, where he met Corps Commander Lt General Shafaatullah Shah. Fonseka remained with Shah and exchanged views on matters of professional interest.

Later, the guests visited the Badshahi Mosque and Lahore Fort. They were told about the historic background of the mosque and the fort. They visited Diwan-e-Aam, Diwan-e-Khas and Sheesh Mahal at the fort.

In the evening, the delegation visited the Ind0-Pak Border at Wagha, where they saw the flag-lowering ceremony.
