20 bicycles for WASA sanitary workers

RAWALPINDI: The city district government and Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) will distribute 10 bicycles each to the agency’s sanitary workers cleaning sewers, said City District Nazim Raja Javed Ikhlas on Wednesday. Addressing an Easter function at WASA offices, the nazim said the remaining sanitary workers would also get bicycles in future. He said group insurance scheme would be announced for all 400 WASA sanitary workers soon.

WASA Managing Director Islamul Haq and the agency’s senior officials also turned up.
