Raheela Tiwana for NA from PML-Q Sindh

By Qazi Asif

KARACHI: The province’s former coalition partners – the Pakistan Muslim League Quaid-e-Azam (PML-Q) and Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F) – have decided on who will be given reserved seats in Sindh and the Centre. “We won 10 Sindh Assembly seats, thus two reserved seats for women go to our party,” the PML-Q’s Senator Ghaffar Qureshi told Daily Times Wednesday. They submitted the names of Bibi Shahnaz and Tanvir Khalid. For the National Assembly, it is Raheela Tiwana who has held the post of deputy speaker in the Sindh Assembly and became a member on a reserved seat in 2002 as well. The PML-F has seven seats in the Sindh Assembly and four in the National Assembly from Sindh. The PML-F would have one reserved women’s seat in the Sindh Assembly and one in the National Assembly. Syeda Marvi Rashdi will be for the Sindh Assembly and Reena Kumari would be for the National Assembly.
