Turkish president due on Dec 2

ISLAMABAD: Turkish President Abdullah Gul is to visit Pakistan at the weekend, becoming the first foreign leader to do so since the declaration of emergency rule.

Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Muhammad Sadiq said on Wednesday Gul would hold talks on bilateral, regional and global issues with President Pervez Musharraf during the visit on Sunday and Monday. Sadiq said Gul was visiting on the invitation of President Pervez Musharraf and it “has nothing to do with the emergency issue”. afp/app
