WASHINGTON: On Veterans’ Day, November 11, American Muslim members of the armed services will lay a wreath at the National World War II Memorial to honour Muslims and all those who served in that conflict and offered sacrifices.
Three surviving American Muslim World War II veterans will also be honoured, including Army sergeant Nazeem Abdul Hakeem who fought at Normandy. The solemn ceremony has been organised by the Muslim American Veterans Association.
