PSMC marks highest sales figure of Rs 9.3bn

Karachi: Pakistan Steel Mills Corporation (PSMC) during the quarter July-Sept 2007 recorded the highest ever-sales figure of Rs 9.3012 billion. The sales recorded for this quarter is higher than the budgeted target of Rs 9.282 billion and the sales record is bettered three times in this calendar year.

It is pointed out that the sales for the first quarter was recorded at Rs 8.615 billion and in the second quarter it rose to Rs 8.891 billion and now for the first time in the history of sales the figure has surpassed Rs 9 billion mark.

The sales target for the current financial year 2007-08 has been fixed at Rs 36 billion which is already higher by 20 percent than the all time sales of Rs 30 billion recorded during 2006-07.

This sustained continuous growth in sales is being attributed to efficient and highly vigilant management.
