PPP condemns bridge collapse

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Central Information Secretary Sherry Rehman on Saturday condemned the collapse of the Northern Bypass Bridge that killed six citizens and injured several others.

“The death of innocent citizens is most unfortunate,” said Ms Rehman speaking from London, where she is presently attending the party’s Central Executive Committee (CEC) meeting.

Rehman called for an immediate inquiry into the collapse and demanded that the responsible persons be brought to justice.

“The regime should pay compensation to the families of the victims”, she said.
