AQ Khan network no more active: State Dept

LAHORE: The US State Department on Thursday rejected congressmen’s claims that Doctor Abdul Qadir Khan’s nuclear proliferation network was still active and said that Khan’s network was out of business, Dawn News reported. The department’s remarks followed a congressional hearing where several lawmakers demanded direct US access to Dr Khan. Former state department spokesman Shon McCormack insisted that the network was out of business and he credited the Pakistani authorities for doing so. daily times monitor
