Opp parties meeting today, says Imran

LAHORE: An emergent meeting of the chiefs of all political parties will be held in Islamabad today (Saturday) to decide on participating in the upcoming All Parties Conference schedule for March 24 in London.

“Saturday’s meeting will decide the future line of action that the political parties will take against the government,” said Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan on Friday.

He told a press conference that political parties should lead the nation at such a critical junction when two main pillars of the state namely the judiciary and media were under attack.

He said the crisis had damaged Pakistan’s image and that President Pervez Musharraf had only one choice: resign and conduct independent elections. He denounced the police for attacking lawyers and GEO new channel’s office in Islamabad. staff report
