Punjab govt stops depts from receiving earthquake funds

Staff Report

GUJRANWALA: The Punjab government has stopped all government departments from receiving funds for earthquake survivors, a press release said on Saturday.

“The Punjab government has written to the departments that no government department or employee was entitled to receive funds for the earthquake victims rather such funds could only be deposited directly to the President Relief Fund for Earthquake Victims,” the press release said.

It also said that public had also been informed not to give such funds to any authority and deposit directly to the bank accounts of the President’s Relief Fund.
