Govt plans to make artificial limbs for earthquake victims

LAHORE: The government plans to make artificial limbs to rehabilitate the earthquake injured, Punjab Cooperatives Minister Col (r) Malik Muhammad Anwar said while visiting a tent-village at Fateh Jang on Sunday.

He said the pilot project for the plan had been launched with the cooperation of British doctors in Lahore and preparations were underway to launch the project.

The minister was told that the central office for `Support-A-Family’ programme had been set up at the chief minister’s House and other offices would be at Islamabad, NWFP and Azad Kashmir. app
