Three motorcyclists die doing street stunts

LAHORE: Three motorcyclists died while doing acrobats on city roads in various incidents.

20-year-old Saqib, a resident of Garhi Shahu was doing wheelies on the Main Ferozepur Road when he lost his balance and fell on the road. He suffered severe head injuries and was taken to Services Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead. His body was given to the family without an autopsy.

24-year-old Muhammad Waseem, was doing acrobatics on his motorcycle in Johar Town police precincts when he lost his balance and collided with a footpath. He suffered head injuries and died instantly. His body was given to his family without an autopsy.

18-year-old Ali, a resident of EME Colony, was racing with his friends on motorcycles on Canal Road when he lost control and collided with a car and died instantly. His body was given to his family without an autopsy.

Hit-and-run: A youngster was run over by a bus in Tibbi City police precincts. 15-year-old Babar, a resident of Badamibagh, and his 14-year-old friend Nasir rented a bike and were going towards Azadi Chowk when a bus hit them and fled. They both suffered severe injuries and were taken to Mayo Hospital, where doctors pronounced Babar dead and Nasir’s condition was stated critical. His body was given to the family without an autopsy.

Boy killed in accident: A 10-year-old boy died while four other passengers were injured when a public van collided with a telephone pole in Liaqatabad police precincts. The van’s driver was unable to control the van due to over speeding and it collided with a telephone pole killing Khizar Nawaz instantly and injuring Iftikhar, Ilyas, Nadeem and Waseem. The injured were taken to Jinnah Hospital where their condition is out of danger.

Local made liquor kills two men: Two men died after drinking locally made liquor. Ghulam Shabbir, 26, and his friends Amjad, Naeem and Riaz fell unconscious after drinking local-made liquor in Shahdara Town police precincts. They were taken to a nearby hospital where doctors pronounced Shabbir dead while others are in critical condition. Mustafa also fell unconscious after drinking local liquor in Burki police precincts. His family took him to a nearby hospital where doctors pronounced him dead. The bodies were given to their families.

Man dies of poisoned sweets: A man died of poisonous sweet at Mayo Hospital while remaining nine others are still in critical condition.

Five days ago, an unidentified person delivered sweets at their house in Sodiwal and 12 family members were poisoned after eating them. They were admitted to Mayo Hospital. Six-year-old Mehak and her brother had died earlier and 24-year-old Aqil, who worked at the Shezan factory, died on Sunday. However, police did not find any clues.

Bodies found: Two unidentified bodies were found over Eid in various parts of the city.

The body of an unidentified old man was found lying on a footpath in Bhaati Gate police precincts. Police believed that the deceased was a drug addict and had died of an overdose. The body of an unidentified young man was found from a footpath in Green Town police precincts. Police said he was a drug addict too and had died of an overdose.
