Jahangir security liaison officer of Pakistan team

LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has appointed Ahmad Ishaque Jahangir as security liaison officer with the Pakistan cricket team for the ongoing England series till December 22, 2005. He will accompany the Pakistan cricket team at all venues. He will coordinate security arrangements for the Pakistan team and officials with security agencies of all venues where the team and officials are scheduled to visit. He will act as a link between PCB, Pakistan team and security agencies on all matters relating to security. He will also oversee and coordinate security arrangements in the stadiums where matches are scheduled.

Ishaque Jahangir, an officer in Police Service of Pakistan, has served in provinces of NWFP and Sindh. He also served as district police chief of Narowal and Hafizabad. He was awarded President’s Police Medal for Gallantry. He has done his LLM from London in policing and police powers.
