BA legislators term budget people-friendly

QUETTA: The legislators during the session of the Provincial Assembly termed Balochistan Budget 2014-15 people-friendly. Speaker Mir Jan Muhammad Khan Jamali chaired the session.
Participating in budget debate Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch said the secret fund of the Chief Minister has been abolished in Balochistan budget 2014-15.
Several new and ongoing projects were included in the budget to carryout record development. 
Khuzdar-Dadu transmission line was made functional and Loralai-Dera Ghazi Khan transmission line would start working soon.
Pashtoonkhawa Milli Awami Party MPA William Barkat said huge sum of money was allocated in budget for important sectors of law and order, education, health and irrigation. 
PkMAP MPA Manzoor Khan Kakar said hundreds of development projects were included in the Public Sector Development Programmes (PSDP) 2014-15 to carry out record development and provide relief to masses. 
He said all districts of the province were given development funds in the new Programme.
Minister for Agriculture Sardar Aslam Bezinjo said new budget would help in resolving issues being faced by common people.
Pakistan Muslim League-N MPA Khan Lehri emphasised the need to establish Agriculture University in Nasirabad division. Nasirabad division has been receiving electricity supply only for six hours a day while the division is producing 900 megawatts electricity, he added. 
National Party MPA Dr Shama Ishaq expressed her satisfaction over allocation of Rs 1452 million funds for health sector and provision of medicines to hospitals. 
Minister for Services and General Administration Nawab Muhammad Khan 
Shahwani said energy, education, health and others sectors were given special priority in PSDP-2014-15.
JUI-F MPA Hussan Bano Rakhshani said no adequate funds were allocated in new budget for making Quetta a beautiful and modern city. She said the constituencies of the opposition members were neglected in PSDP 2014-15.
National Party MPA Yasmin Lehri said law and order situation was improved after the new government assumed charge. 
She said the provincial budget would help in resolving problems being faced by people in health and education sectors.
MPA Masooma Hayat paid rich tributes to the coalition government for presenting a people-friendly budget. Another PkMAP MPA Arifa Siddique said education sector was given huge funds through new budget.
Adviser to Chief Minister on Forests and Wildlife Obaidullah Babat said new budget would help in resolving energy crisis in Balochistan.
JUI-F MPA Sardar Abdul Rehman Khetran said Balochistan has number of jobless youth in tens of thousands but only about 4,000 posts were allocated in new budget. 
Minister for Information Abdul Raheem Ziaratwal said they welcomed the criticism of the opposition. He however said no constituency was neglected in PSDP 2014-15. Later the Speaker adjourned the house till June 25.
