KARACHI: Ufone, after successfully launching free 3G trial in Lahore and Islamabad/Rawalpindi respectively, has launched the same service in Karachi, the financial heart of Pakistan, to give its customers a taste of breakneck speeds and seamless connectivity that are to be unleashed.
All Ufone customers using a 3G enabled smartphone, will be able to enjoy the trial services with amazing speeds free of cost, whereby the first 200 mb’s will be usable without any speed throttling, after that for subsequent usage, speed will be reduced to 128 kbps for the rest of the day followed by a related SMS notification. In addition, the policy will be auto-renewed every day.
To avail the offer, Ufone customers will have to restart their handsets or change the network mode from GSM to WCDMA or from 2G to 3G in other words, depending upon their handset model and type. An SMS notification will be sent to all subscribers to inform them regarding the 3G service activation.
Both Postpaid and prepaid customers will be able to avail the offer and enjoy free of cost usage of the 3G trial for a limited period.
