ISLAMABAD - Minister for Finance and Economic Affairs Ishaq Dar says the government has no plan to devalue the currency.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad on Wednesday, he said presently the country's foreign exchange reserves are 14 billion dollars.
Senator Dar said efforts are being made to improve the taxation system. He said that budget deficit has been reduced from 8.8 to 8.2 per cent.
The minister said all major international financial institutions are willing to work with Pakistan adding that foreign remittances were registered at 15.83 billion dollars with an increase of 7.13 per cent.
He said that performance of private sector has improved while 4,587 companies were registered in the corporate sector.
